| African and Black Minority community member volunteers are recruited and trained to raise awareness on Sexually Transmitted Infectious Diseases e.g. HIV,amongst Africans in Brent & Harrow. Course contents: Epidemiology & Prevention, HIV Transmission, Local HIV Support/Services, Treatment Update, Diet/Nutrition and Care/Support for those living with AIDS related diseases. The need for involving local church and community leaders in health promotion work was identified by this Project in 1998.
